Two pieces of good news here for Sony Ericsson fans: the company today announced the next phone in their Xperia line, the X8. Slotting in below the X10, the X8 will be its smaller, cheaper sibling.
Speaking of the X10, here’s the other piece of good news: they (as in all three types of the X10), will get a bump from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1 in Q3 of this year. For the original X10, the bump will also bring HD video recording, which is a neat bonus.
